    ryanflorence I don't think anyone should tell anyone what the web is supposed to be, because the web is an open, flexible platform. I do think people should provide a pragmatic criticism where things look to be getting out of hand, however. That's what any responsible industry does.

      ryanflorence I've also got to point out that lots of JavaScript isn't a requirement to build a complex app, either. You very likely already know this though :)
