    1. This is an interesting piece which I find myself nodding along to, mostly. I often get accused of being “anti-Tailwind”.     I'm not 100% convinced about leaning extremely heavily in CSS Custom Properties for design tokens though. I've been there with the old Piccalilli design and it did bring some pain with it. I much prefer to use CSS Custom Properties as changeable-by-state tokens instead.
