      UPDATE: It’s the sans-serif (system) font-stack that ships with Tailwind that was the issue. I just switched it to sans-serif (first example in GIF) and it was smooth again. Thanks for the help folks: especially kylehstoneman kylehstoneman/1486417432419864576
