      I think I’m already pretty blunt in emails, but I still “fluff it up” for the sake of the other person. There are only a handful of people where I can do a one-line, terse response and know that they’ll be fine, because they do the same. This is the best way IMO.

        If you are one of those dreamy email people then keep doing what you’re doing. You might thing I love Slack and stuff like that, but I don’t. Its not an async tool (even if they market it as such) where email definitely is. Frankly, I get stressed out by Slack et al.
