      If you really want one on your page - at least push the user out to the directions service on click or whatnot.

        So much JS for what is essentially a picture of a map with your oversized marker slap-bang in the middle.

          I tend to render a retina-res map and pull it in statically with a marker layer if I have to add one. It's a png and an SVG then...rant over
